dum dee dum..am at home!

i am home shweeeet home..such a great great feeling! oh and quite a crazy day too.
my cousin raurau ( who is actually an equally fast-talker as i am; if not faster, that is.) drove me and nibah to the LRT station after my finishing class for the day, which was around 4 sumthing..we left kinda late coz haha..not-shocking at all; she was sleeping. oh Queen of all sleeping beauties u are raurau.

"xpeke kak rau hantar kita??"
"babe, kalau i tak call dia, she wont wake up.."

(me wuv u raurau!!!)

nways, it was 2 weeks since the last time i met up with her and so, of course, we did a lot of catching up. we were talking about the Azlina Jelani's murtad case and she was asking and i was answering and suddenly i was like, " i think u missed the junction la rau.."
screaming+panic attack 1. and she blamed it on me for talking to her bcoz she had to concentrate on what i was saying!!!!! oh halluuu..sape mula QnA questions??? nvm la..there are more than 10 other LRT stations for us to go to anyways around KL..

screaming+panic attack 2 happened when we were, yes, still talking..she was asking about the status of islam, and the fight and the outcries and all and how she was confused and so, being not-so-well-versed on the Consti Law(yet. iAllah will be. gambate!!!) i spilled out on what i know only..and somehow i noticed an ambulance behind us speeding up close to us. and it was then i realized that oh, the siren's on and OMG! ofkos, there might be a dying person in the ambulance and we were like soooo in their way!!! raurau panicked; swerved to the next lane and we both tried to hide ourselves from being seen and recognized by the ambulance driver. nibah was laughing hysterically in the backseat. raurau was all dramatic imagining all the possible actions that the ambulance driver and the patient's family could take against us..psycho nye kami. and again, she blamed me. and the next second she demanded me to continue on. and when i stopped talking, she'd suruh me talk.*confused*

*will see u next week di B.Antrbangsa raurau!*

i wonder how people survive living such a hectic life in KL. i love city life and all but to have spent my evening, after the office hours at he LRT and Star stations; unbelievable! fascinating tho i have to admit watching people rushing, chatting, dressed in suits..(oh i just love people in suits) there was just soooooo ramai orang that i felt like, to get through the crowd i'd have to imagine myself playing a rugby game. hug myself, and run through the people for a touchdown!!!! *Score!!!!*

i saw school kids either on their way home after school or just loitering around. what i didnt like was to see young little boys walking alone. how can a mom let a boy of prolly 9-12 years of age walk alone around areas of such like Pudu??!?!?! so many what ifs was in my head..

alhamdulillah, Pudu was very kind to me and Nibah today although we had to bear watch a guy dancing happily trying to attract customers. my god, its sooooo annoying when those guys come to you an ask 'dik, nak bas? pegi mana?" (no duh.."saye nak beli tiket kapal terbang. air asia ade bang?" i kat pudu kot!!!) when i was actually waiting for my ticket at the booth of my choice! ni mcm gaya nak curik customer org len jeh!!

well..got our tix, sat down for a while, watch people and watch more people..and wallaa, the next minute i found myself in a double decker bus!!! oh.my.god. i swear! i have always wanted to go on a double deck bus but abah have always said that "oh, bas tu utk budak U takde.." fuh-ney. and yippee yay..but..it wasnt so comfy. true to ur words kak myra, other than feeling like ur riding on a horse, i guess all's fine. good sleep tho coz the air-cond was just cool.

ape2 hal, am all good, safely at home, in the comfort of home. my 3 little darlings baby nanim, adek and syifa' are already asleep tho. and i miss zahid (oh he so doesnt read my blog so i dont mind saying it here.lol) he was home last week when i wasnt. but its good to know that he's doing great. * i luv him for sponsoring my topup-needs =D*

best feeling of all tonight; i was walking across the jejantas at the bus stop and i saw my dad walking towards the station and i was waving like mad (which come to think of it again, i think abah didnt notice me doing so) and i actually felt like i was walking out of the gateway at the arrival platforms in KLIA. ofcourse, minus the polluted air, the sound of cars and lorries speeding below and yeah, the bad smell. yg penting, an home for the weekend. i have plans and got it all scheduled! texted Una earlier in the evening. just felt like telling her that i'll be back in Jb. turns out that she's leaving Sunway for the weekend to! cant wait to meet up. nan and tea lychee mamak!

*********************

if uv noticed, the sky is looking really good these days. and at night time especially. for the past few days, me and my gurlfrens would spend few minutes to just sit outside and watch the clouds moving under the moonlight before bedtime. haze or without haze. its a really good way to unwind after a long day..

*********************

italian meal for family dinner tomorrow night! anyone wanna join? grocery shopping first thing tomorrow! Jusco here i come!!! kangen sama kamu!! oh..which reminds me, i so have to check on my phone. virus or no virus, am so changing it. lol. amek kesempatan sungguh. but then again, i cant live not being able to use the SMS!!!

*********************

i am soooo digging into the Samsons. some claimed that they're like Radja. oh they're so not! Radja is so kanak2 skolah menengah kind. loud for nothing. despite of the quite loud music, Samsons play well. i mean, its not kiddy poppish lame alt rock stuff. but i think why i love the whole album's becoz all the tracks have beautiful beautiful lyrics. but then again, indon songs always meant good lyrics. oh well.. samsons; one of the best album..out of 12 tracks, only 1 sahaja that i don't like. see? i didnt like 3 of The Fray's. and how can i forget, equally great to the Samsons, Snow Patrol's Eyes Open. spells beautiful too. but na'ah to 2 tracks.

all i can say, for now..

Outlandish feat Sami Yusuf;

'i wish you are here,
here next to me,
been missing you so,
so desperately,
but lately i feel what you feel,
and i see what you see,
oh how i'm missing you..

what happened to the ummah once known so well,
greatness was known but now can you tell?"

*taking a long deep breath*

i met 2 ladies from Istanbul when i was waiting for Hanny at Kyros yesterday. beautiful country, beautiful people. they were doing their Masters back in Istanbul but they had to quit since it was difficult for them as the Muslim ladies there weren't allowed to wear headscarves/hijab. masyaAllah. it's been a year. they're loving Malaysia so they said but they're praying hard that by the time they finish their studies here, they can go back to Istanbul and that by then, they will be given back their rights of freedom to practice Islam openly..amiin..

*****************************

'Against Apostacy, Stand for Islam' campaign went all well alhamdulillah. i am sooooo proud of all my friends who also participated. tho to many it was their first experience being involved with such activities, having to stay up all night preparing for stuff and all, they did great! gambate!! i pray for their spirit (and mine too ofcourse) to be everlasting and may their efforts be blessed by Allah. every single action of theirs. no matter how small. thanx to incik President juga..(lol)

i went to Kyros yesterday and i missed abah. i miss eating Kyros' take-aways with him in the car all the way to my college whenever he comes to visit me alone..

my weekend was..a social-events weekend. one of the best ways i find myself at peace with to 'unwind' myself..

Friday night, went to the 'Long Island Youth Orchestra' concert at Menara MCA with Lubna, Widaad and Luqman.
met abg Adam and Naufal there.

i never knew that watching Orchestra playing live could be so...emotional. overwhelming. seriously. it was! watching the unison movement of bows, the stillness and the quietness of the hall while everyone breathlessly (and for some sleepy ah? haha) listens to the instruments playing. the performance was conducted by Maestro Martin Dreiwitz. a cute old really nice grand-daddy looking white-haired old man in a nice suit.

overall, the show was brilliant! especially the final minute of the performance when all the instruments were being spinned on the floor for a few seconds. *gasp again*but the program coordination and management; i'd say, masih ada banyak ruang untuk diperbaiki...(that sounds right kan?) well, actually, it was quite bad lah. i'll save the details..

i wanted to meet and talk to some of the orchestra people after the show but somehow we ended up 'socializing' in the ladies'. we took the cab and owh..*giggle* me and Lub went crazy going around KL. night time in KL is beautiful! we had funnnn!!

we also went to visit Lub's gramma tau! habis extended family pon i dah berkenalan dah..
(Rohana yeah?<-- hanya orang yg berkenaan shj akan faham.harap maaf. ROTFL to Lub)

after the late night talk i had with Lub and her parents (which i have to say i enjoyed. call me psycho Lub; whateverrrr!!) we tried watching Le Grand Voyage. a French-Moroccan movie. it was cool and all. by 'trying' i mean, i really wanted to watch it but somehow, without intention, i slept halfway through the movie..sob3..oh well, sleep was good...keh3..
i had a grRRReat time staying at Damansara! *thanx Uncle Ghazali and Aunty*

**************************

I promised Mak Dutt that i'll join her for SRIP's Hi-Tea last Sunday. so other plans on Sunday evening has to be cancelled. it's an annual event. i went to last year's. this year Nowseeheart was invited. oh happy saya! they sooo can sing live! (i hope nex year it'll be Brotherz's turn)thanx mak dutt! and owh!!! Rau-Rau dah balik! and she had to delay a day before telling me that she's back! aargh!! nways, welcome back Rau-Rau!!!! ni antara my events/programs-partner yg paling best! heeee..you owe me rau..

man can only make plans, for Allah has the final say..semoga tanah bumi Alexandria setia menanti...

i watched 'The Road To Guantanamo'. watch it brothers and sisters in Islam. that's all i can say. i hope that it would open up your eyes, and wake you up from your dreamland. this world is not so nice after all. and it is thanx to man and no one else. i dedicate the song "I've Seen" to everyone.

However, despite the fact that the movie was superb, it doesn't beat the documentary that i watched when i was ten. it was back in England and i followed my parents to the Muaz Centre (Bordeseley) in B'ham for one of those MSM Summer Gathering (owh..i miss those kind of progs..eventho it's for the adults. i get to meet people!!best weh). while the parents listen to the talk etc, kids were put in one place. at that time, somehow me and some of my friends found ourselves in one room with the tv on. turned out that it was playing a documentary taoe on the mujahid's preparation to go to war or rather, jihad. i was ten, i was confused and i got scared. i remembered thinking to myself, "Was it real?" "does that kind of place, situation really exists in this world?"

she saw the men lining up waiting for their names to be called out to join the troops. she watched men crying for their name wasn't listed among those who are lined up in the first saff. she watched the men bidding farewell to teary family members, hugging wife and kids, not knowing whether they'll get the chance to meet again.she watched the men performing their solat before leaving their homes. she watched the men, one by one jumping off the cliff into the lake to bathe before going off for jihad.. ... and now, 10 years later, she wants to get her hands on it. i have not yet seen or watched any other documentary as good as that one. and i have no idea how to get. knew not the title, knew not who owned that copy.

but she has never forgotten..never.

Mecca Cola's market has widened like really really widened!! i feel proud to see cans of them in most of the shops in my University, in almost every petrol station and many other small shops. next, maybe Muslim shop owners can stop selling Coke..what do u say?

***********************

i left her at the age of 9 when i had to move to JB and later to England. many years after that, alhamdulillah we still managed to keep in touch though at times, being busy and occupied with our busy lives, we were silent and quiet. we met for the first time after 9 years when i was hanging out in KL and my al-amin gurlfrens took me out. and yesterday, for the second time, we met again.

Puma was my bestfriend when i was in my 1st and 2nd grade. she's now studying Medic in Cairo and is back for the hols. twice i made plans to go visit her at her place with my other friends but alas, takde rezeki..and yesterday, yesterday!!! it so happened that i was sitting alone waiting for Hanny, and suddenly i saw Hana and out of the blues, she mentioned Puma's name and i was like, "i really wanna meet her..its been years..yadaa yadaa" and wallaa...later that evening Puma came to my college!!!!!! ohohoho..bahagia sungguh hati ini..met up with many others gurls from Al-Amin..

one thing i've always been proud of when it come to my friendship and the bond that i have with my girlfriends is the fact that there is never that awkward-pause-moments between us, even if we havent met for like, 7 years!
**Shue, sorry weh i couldnt make it. and yeah i know, twice!! i'll make it up to u ok??? sungguh!! 2nd trip to Puma's!!

*******************************************************

Kak Tina's burfday parrrrty!!!! extravaganza!! we organized a surprise dinner at Bora Ombak. (promo: next to the Ampang Sports Complex)ooh such a nice place for dinner. 'a reminiscence of Bali'. tho the live band was a bit too loud singing right next to our table but the service's cool. the waiters/tresses are nice. especially when they brought out the birthday cake and the guy on stage sang for kak tina a birthday song..kak tina was sooo cute. i still cant believe Tasya actually asked the waitress for the flower that the waitresses tuck in their hair!! ofcourse la she got one haha..but the food is good. worth the price i'd say.. Happy 21st Birthday Kak Tina..kak Tina : "kalian adalah juara carta hati saya!!!"
